미네소타 웨이자타에 있었던 프란시스W. 리틀 저택의 방
미국 전시관의 시대적 방들 중 가장 최신인 이 방은 미국의 가장 유명한 건축가 프랭크 로이드 라이트의 작품입니다. 이 방은 본래 프란시스 W. 리틀 부부를 위해 미네소타 미니애폴리스 교외에 건축된 저택의 한 끝부분에 거대한 단독 응접실로 건축되었습니다. 낮게 깔린 지붕과 폭넓게 드리워진 처마, 페인트 칠하지 않은 하얀 참나무 테, 투명한 인테르 삽입 유리의 층으로 구성된 이 방은 라이트의 초원 양식 가정집 구조를 대표합니다. 이 가구는 모두 라이트가 고안해 낸 것이며 그가 의도한 그 대로 배치되었습니다. 옅은 색의 가구는 이 방을 위해 제작되었고 짙은 얼룩의 가구는1903년에 일리노이 피오리아에 위치한 리틀즈를 위해 라이트가 설계한 초기 저택을 위해 제작된 것입니다.
