圣马可广场

卡纳莱托是十八世纪威尼斯最著名的风景画家，他尤其在造访威尼斯的英国游客中受到欢迎。这幅色彩极其鲜艳、保存完好的油画描绘了著名的圣马可广场。图中钟楼上的窗户比实际上的要少，而且旗杆也太高了，但除此以外卡纳莱托的描绘还是比较忠于实物的。对颜料的松散、粗糙处理和高亮度色阶的运用都表明这幅作品应该作于1720年代晚期。
