老梅图
哪怕是最老的梅树，春天也会发出新枝，因此梅树象征坚韧与回春。这组隔扇原设在京都著名禅宗寺——妙心寺的天祥院里，分隔方丈室的两间房。老树夸张的弯曲和几何形岩石的层次分明都是狩野山雪署名画作的特点，他是画师狩野山乐（1559 –1635）的徒弟和女婿。山乐受到妙心寺的慷慨资助，山雪想必也接受了僧人的继续支持。
