Bonnet
Bonnets worn during this period were elaborately decorated and varied widely in shape and type of decoration. This particular hat has a great deal of presence because of the sheer size and boldness of the shape. The undulating ruffles created by the velvet-edged satin adds another dimension to its presence. The wearer's face would be flirtatiously framed by the deep arc of the brim.
