Decorated wtih double L monograms and fleurs-de-lis, this is possibly the chair described in an inventory drawn up after the death of Louis XIV as "Un beau fauteuil de canne...ornés de chiffres du Roy couronnés..." or "a beautiful caned armchair decorated with a crowned royal monogram."
