Faceted vase with flowers
Inspired by Islamic aesthetics, blue-and-white porcelain expanded the color range of Chinese ceramics. Colored porcelain was disdained as a vulgar product among art connoisseurs during the late fourteenth century, when monochromatic wares were most popular.
