Face Jug
Handled vessels made for easier pouring and drinking than shallow bowls. The bearded face found on many jugs suggests a perceived link between male virility and alcohol consumption. Glass goblets imported from Venice, highly prized and more fragile than ceramics, were associated with feminine traits.
