Designer Nicholas Homoky British

Not on view

Homoky, who was born in Hungary and trained in England, makes wheel-thrown and hand built vessels that are expecially crisp in both form and finish. He paints the rims of the vessels; the designs are inlaid with a stained porcelain slip. The work is deceptively simple; it requires a great ability to control the medium. Homoky's work has been shown in exhibitions around the world, and is included in the collections of the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum, among many others.
