Coffin of Nesmin
Ptolemaic Period
This coffin belonged to Nesmin, who was a priest for the god Min in Akhmim. The names of Nesmin's parents are given in the coffin's inscriptions; his father was a priest called Djedhor and Nesmin's mother was a musician for Min called Tadiaset. The coffin was bought from the Egyptian government in 1886 together with Nesmin's mummified body (86.1.51).
