The Quarrymen at the Casbah Club, Liverpool, England
Not on view
This is the only surviving poster advertising a concert by the Quarrymen—the group formed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison before they founded the Beatles in 1960—and one of the most important artifacts of rock and roll. The club was in the basement of the house owned by Mona Best, the mother of future Beatles drummer Pete Best.
