Design House House of Lanvin French
Designer Jeanne Lanvin French
1937
Not on view
In keeping with the romantic mood of the mid- to late-1930s, real and artificial flowers were used in abundance for corsages, posies, necklaces and wristlets, as well as to decorate evening purses and hats. In this dress, roses are strewn across the fabric like a veritable Garden of Eden.
