This drawing combines Rajasthani and Deccani styles to illustrate the versatility of styles and techniques of the Indian artist in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. We note the penmanship where lines become thin and thick in a manner that evokes the movement of the calligraphy. The differing scale and mixed scale of elements suggests that this is a practice page, but one where the artist wittily connects the stylistic modes and figures through their fingers which point at one another
