The Sacred Cenote contained objects that were likely made in southern Central America, including this bowl-shaped helmet. As with other helmets from the region, the holes in this example may have been used to attach dangling ornaments or feathers.
El Cenote Sagrado contenía objetos principalmente fabricados en el sur de Centroamérica, entre los cuales se encontraba este casco en forma de cuenco. Como otros cascos de la región ístmica, las perforaciones pueden haber sido utilizadas para la suspensión de adornos o plumas.
