A Weaver of Dreams is the story of a young girl named Judith who is unlucky in love and loses her fiancé to another girl. She isolates herself at home and finds the perfect lover in her dreams. The book was made into a silent film of the same name in 1918 starring Viola Dana. This cover is a good example of Armstrong’s skill illustrating the book’s title with an inventive design—here with pink, white, and light green stylized flowers and butterflies on a gold stamped, stylized loom.
