This solid wood book box, with sliding lid, is carved in low relief with chip carving and stippled punchwork. Both covers have similar designs of three tulip blossoms. The year 1750 is carved only on the solid front cover, with the slide lid on the back of the book. The box’s book-like attributes include raised bands and foredge clasps.
