Cabeza de un gobernante

La identidad de esta cabeza de tamaño natural y el lugar donde fue creada son todavía un misterio. Su experta factura, innovadora tecnología y el uso de la aleación de cobre, un material muy costoso, sugieren que representa a un rey o a un personaje importante. Las órbitas de los ojos, hoy vacías, estuvieron tal vez incrustadas con materiales de colores contrastantes, como era característico en el Próximo Oriente antiguo. Bajo la corroída superficie del cobre todavía se distinguen las ondas de una barba atildada y un bigote recortado, así como las líneas curvas y diagonales de un turbante de tela.
