At the center is a pronged vajra (lightning bolt marking the cosmic axis), which stands in for the Buddha Vairochana. It also references the diamond throne (vajrasattva) where Shakyamuni reached enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. Flanking the vajra are the celestial Buddhas Amitabha, Amoghasiddhi, Akshobhya, and Ratnasambhava.
