聖母子像

フィレンツェの画家の中で最も才能豊かで画家として大成したひとりであるフィリピ ーノ・リッピは、父のフラ・フィリッポ・リッピから絵を学んだ後、ボッティチェリの工房に勤めました。彼の作風には、このふたりの画家の影響がうかがわれます。左手にあるロッジアを通して見る遠景と、ろうそくが影を落とす静物画に、フランドル派絵画の影響が見られます。高価な群青で彩色された聖母の青い外套を始めとする鮮やかな色彩は、おそらく後援者のフィリッポ・ストロッツィが注文したものと思われます。
