그리스 미술에서 아마존 여전사들이헤라클레스, 아킬레스, 테세우스 등 신화 속 영웅들과 싸우는 장면이 많이 묘사되었습니다. 이 조각상은 무기를 잃고 오른쪽 가슴 밑 상처에서는 피가 흐르는 전사를 표현합니다. 왼쪽 어깨의 키톤은 풀려서 흘러내리고, 허리벨트 대신 그녀의 말 굴레를 임시로 사용하고 있습니다. 곤경에 처해 있지만 그녀의 얼굴은 고통이나 피로의 기색은 없습니다. 그녀는 석주에 가볍게 기대어 서서 오른팔을 우아하게 머리에 얹고 휴식을 취하고 있는데, 이 자세는 잠 또는 죽음을 암시할 때가 많았습니다.
