高个的人
1945年之后的某个时期，贾科梅蒂不再制作一两厘米高的实验性人像，转而开始制作大型人像。到1947年，他的作品中出现了三个主要题材：行走的人、站立的女人以及半身像或头像。这尊超过真人实体大小的站立女人像没有体积感和量感，显得疏远冷漠；艺术家在青铜上涂的哑光米黄色颜料使这一人像看似来自另一个世界。这尊人像看上去仿佛承受了数个世纪的风雨洗礼，表面因此而变得坚硬锈蚀。人物的姿势有一些古埃及雕像的影子。
