    Inscription: Annotated in pen and brown ink at lower left: 56 G [?]; no. 8 [?] Pocetti. Graphite annotation on reverse of old mount: Bernardino Barbatelli called Poccetti/born at Florence 1542-D. 1612/The Diversity of his tallents procured him various appellations/such as Bernardino delle Grotte -dalla Faciati - dalle Muse etc./ Florence is full of his Works - C.M. [sic]
