The helmet bowl (hachi) is of iron, is composed of five plates, and is a variant of the Haruta School type. The four side plates are engraved with dragons, inlaid with silver, copper and gold, and the top plate is engraved with clouds, inlaid with silver. Its peculiar shape indicates that it was made for the export market.
