Fragment with Two Figures

Once boasting a pair of dancing figures in opulent, classical attire, this small fragment was likely cut out of a larger, repeating textile. It might have functioned as a wall hanging in the home or adorned the sleeve
of a tunic. Only the legs of the left-hand figure remain, but his confident stance recalls Dionysos, who represented the aspirations of the good life in Late Antiquity.
