Glass pendant

Roman

Not on view

Translucent cobalt blue.
Circular disk with rounded edge and one projecting notch; uneven, flat bottom; tapering slightly in thickness towards bottom; pierced suspension loop applied to front of disk, folded over, and pressed on to back edge.
On obverse, circular stamp with lion in relief rearing to right and resting its forelegs on back of a crouching bull with horns and long tail, facing left. The stamp has been applied by mistake to the pendant with the design upside down, facing the loop.
Intact, but some unevenness to rounded edge; pinprick bubbles; some pitting of surface bubbles and dulling.
