Coffer with inlaid monogram
This marquetry coffer shows the Medici ducal coronet and the interlaced initials of Anna Maria Luisa, the last descendant of the main branch of this family. It is possible that this coffer was made for her at the occasion of her 1691 wedding to John William, Elector Palatine of the Rhine in Düsseldorf.
