ターバン・ヘルメット
イスラム圏で着用された、非常にまれで印象深い外観のターバン・ヘルメットは、球根のような形状で渦巻く造形がターバンの形と布を思わせることから、現代になってこのように名付けられました。このタイプのヘルメットは早くも14 世紀に使われていたと考えられていますが、この作品を含め、現存する作品のほとんどは、15世紀末から16世紀初頭に作られたものです。ターバン・ヘルメットはアゼルバイジャンとイランのアクコユ ンル(白羊朝)、シルヴァン朝、オスマン朝で使われました。ヘルメットの表面には銀のダマスク象嵌細工と刻文により、アラブ語の銘が全体に施されています。
