花と雲の帯状模様のタイル
イスタンブールのトプカピ宮殿では、1574年以降に大規模な修復工事が行われました。陶器製タイルの大量発注を受けた職人は、イスタンブールの宮廷工房で図案化し、有名なイズニック窯で焼造しました。この作品はそのタイルのひとつですが、これと同種のタイルと並べると、4つのヤシの葉形の花文の間に赤いリボン状の雲の帯が散りばめられた模様になります。これらのタイルは、4 世紀以上にわたってオスマン帝国の宮殿を飾っていた当時のまま今でも残されています。
