ナーヴァ

ダダイスムと呼ばれる芸術運動は、1916年にチューリッヒで生まれました。偶然見つけたものを利用することで、美術と日常の境界線を曖昧にすることを目指したダダは、カオス(混沌状態)、あるいはうわべだけの文明の裏に潜むカオスを理想としました。1950年代にマルセル・デュシャンに魅せられたジャン・ティンゲリーら若い芸術家たちは、ダダの概念を拡大し、挑発的で騒々しく、訴えかけるような作品を制作しました。《ナーヴァ》は、ティンゲリーが芸術家として開花した時期に制作された作品です。現代生活のがらくたを集めたこの作品は、巨大な時計が壊れてしまったかのような、途方もなく入り組んだ造形が鑑賞者を楽しませてくれます。
