남성용 코트와 웨이스트코트

이 섬세한 코트는 18세기 전반 남성복의 화려함과 봉제기술을 보여주는 우아한 작품입니다. 말털을 사용하여 빳빳하게 한 코트 옷자락과 커다란 소매는 이 시대에 성행했던 과장된 비율을 보여주고 있습니다. 이러한 특징은 동시대에 제작된 본 박물관 소장 회화에서도 잘 나타나며, 특히 니콜라스 드 라질리에르의 1727년 작 앙드레 프랑소와 알로이 드 데 데르쿨라이 초상화가 주목할 만합니다. 붉은색 양모 브로드클로스에 연금사를 수놓은 자수는 당시 가장 호화로운 장식에 속합니다. 웨이스트코트에서 연금사와 금 시퀸으로 수놓은 굽이치는 깃털 문양은 특히 화려합니다.
