최후의 만찬. 레오나르도 다 빈치를 따름
렘브란트가 이십팔 세에 만든 이 이례적인 대형 적색 분필 그림은 밀라노 산타 마리아 델라 그라치에서의 레오나르도 다 빈치의 프레스코 화법 최후의 만찬의 최초 인쇄물에 가장 근접한 것입니다. 렘브란트는 그의 모델을 비굴하게 복제하기보다는 모든 인물을 다시 등장시키고, 그리스도가 한 말에 대한 그들의 반응을 강화시키고, 그들이 차지하는 공간을 압축시킴으로써 표현적이고 드라마틱한 가능성을 탐구하였습니다. 리먼의 이 소장품은 그의 상상력을 심도 있게 포착한 작품인 레오나르도의 최후의 만찬을 기반으로 한 렘브란트의 세 가지 그림 중 하나입니다.
