성모 방문
성모 마리아는 자신이 예수의 어머니가 될 것임을 알게 된 직후 세례 요한을 임신한 사촌 엘리자베스를 방문하였습니다. 이 성모 마리아와 엘리자베스 상은 원래의 채색과 금박이 거의 완전하게 남아 있으며 수정으로 덮은 공동을 통해 제작 당시에는 아기 예수와 요한을 볼 수 있었을 것입니다. 이 작품에서 성모 마리아는 엘리자베스의 어깨에 손을 다정하게 얹고 엘리자베스는 자신의 팔을 가슴에 대고 “내 주의 모친이 내게 나아오니 이 어찌된 일인고?”(누가복음 1:43)라고 말합니다. 이와 유사한 성모 방문 장면을 표현한 다른 동시대 작품들이 독일어권에서 제작되었습니다.
