翼马纹虹彩陶碗

在十二世纪，从埃及或叙利亚移居伊朗的陶工把虹彩陶引入了伊朗。因此，伊朗早期的虹彩陶与法蒂玛王朝时期埃及出产的虹彩陶器有许多共同特征。这只陶碗上极为出色的图案就是一例，其上有一只白色的大型翼马置身反差极大的虹彩背景中，陶碗边缘饰有花彩。从前人们认为这只陶碗来自拉伊（靠近德黑兰），但现在的看法是南部的卡尚是当时唯一的虹彩陶出产中心。
