这间大马士革房间来自奥斯曼帝国时代(1516 –1918年)叙利亚一个上层阶级的住宅中。跟伊斯兰世界的风俗相符,这样的房间是留给一家之主和他的客人的。前厅处有一座喷泉,置于色彩绚丽的大理石地板上。装饰奢华的木饰板包括百叶窗和橱柜门,其上有凸纹、诗意的阿拉伯文题字及建筑花纹。开放式壁龛用于放置书籍和其他物品。设在高处灰泥墙上的彩绘玻璃窗能让带着色彩的光线进入房间,下面的格子窗户则能让新鲜空气进入。
