帐篷衬里

莫卧尔帝国的皇帝为国事或游乐而出行时会搭建壮观的临时营地，其中的帐篷有美丽的织物作衬底。这件来自一个帐篷营地的长形织物见证了这种帐篷城里绚烂的氛围。描金花叶纹样填满了狭窄的边框，主要的大边框里有罂粟植物与袖珍树或风格化树叶的交替纹样。天鹅绒底因闪烁的金箔而得以强化，其工艺是先用一种黏着剂覆盖部分纹样，然后将金箔置于其上，再把金箔揉进绒面里。沙贾汗（1627 – 58年）在位期间，也就是这块织物所属的时代，这种“花式风格”受到从建筑到织物的所有艺术材料的青睐。
