Candelabra supported by three female demi-figures

This large candlestick is part of a pair (see also 1975.1.1403). The triangular base is decorated with winged sphinxes on the corners and blank oval shields on the three sides. There is a marked difference in casting quality between the bases and shafts, suggesting that they originally did not belong together.
