Clearing Weather at Awazu

ca. 1832
Not on view
In the cartouche printed to resemble fine writing paper is the Japanese poem:

Kumo narau
arashi ni ho kite
kiyaku fune
mo sen fune mo nami
no Awazu ni yoru

Behind the stormy wind
clearing away the clouds
myriad ships gather
on the waves at Awazu.
