The objects in this print, including antiques, artworks, flowers, and fruit, are either collectors’ items or auspicious symbols. The inedible Buddha’s hand fruit in the foreground, for instance, is presented as a New Year’s offering to bring good fortune to the household, while the bronzes and stoneware imply the wish for longevity.
