Box in the form of a book
This large, impressive box is covered with stylized decorative carving of various techniques. The front cover is decorated with a flower basket, the back with three floral roundels, and the edges with a pattern of rounded leafy blossoms. The spine is incised with a leaf motif. The cover is hinged and locks at the foredge. The box interior is lined in purple velvet bordered by embossed gilded paper.
