扉口
言い伝えによると、ムティエ・サン・ジャン修道院は、フランスの初代のキリスト教徒の国王であるクロヴィス1世と息子のクロタール1世によって開かれたとされています。この扉口の両脇には、ふたりの王が憲章を持つ姿が彫刻されています。さらにその両脇の窪みには、イエスの受難を予言したとされる聖書の人物の像があり、その上のタンパンでは、キリストが 天の母としての聖母に王冠を授けています。おそらくクロイスターの北の回廊に面していたこの扉口は、修道院教会への入り口だったと思われます。教会は16世紀のユグノー戦争中に多大な被害を受けたため、ふたりの王の頭部は17世紀に修復されたと考えられています。
