디오니소스의 승리와 사계절을 묘사한 장면이 있는 대리석 석관
이 석관은 부유한 의뢰인을 위해 로마에서 제작된 장례 미술의 정교한 예를 보여줍니다. 석관의 측면과 전면은 인물과 동물을 합하여 40개에 이르는 고부조로 조각된 상으로 장식되어 있습니다. 중앙에는 디오니소스 신이 표범을 타고 앉아 있고 그 양옆으로 왼쪽부터 오른쪽으로 겨울, 봄, 여름, 가을을 상징하는 네 명의 인물들이 서 있습니다. 이 다섯 명의 중심 인물 주위에는 자그마하게 묘사된 바커스 신과 관련된 인물 그리고 제례용품이 보입니다. 석관의 둥근 양끝에는 인격화된 땅과 물 등 다른 대형 군상이 있습니다.
