성모 마리아상
이 위엄 있는 성모 마리아상은 고딕 조각 중 걸작이며 스트라스부르 대성당의 대형 성가대 내벽에 있었습니다. 이 조각상이 배치된 중심 근처 중요한 자리는 천사들이 성모의 머리 위에 왕관을 씌우는 그림이 그려진 천개로 덮여 있습니다. 현재는 소실된 아기 예수상이 성모 마리아 옆 장미나무 위에 세워져 있었는데, 이는 “가시 없는 장미”로서의 성모 또는 그 붉은 색으로 인해 그리스도가 십자가 책형에서 흘린 피를 암시할 수도 있습니다. 이 성가대 내벽은 성당 예배 방식이 변하여 1680년에 제거되었습니다.
