A Roman priestess holds two bridal torches over a bride crowned with jasmine who holds a silver casket as the broom kisses her hand. The ceremony is over and the benediction has been said. Based on an oil on panel dated May 1894 (Opus CCCXXV) commissioned by Arthur Tooth & Sons, London. It was first exhibited at the New Gallery, London in 1894.
