Designs for Two Plates or Trays, a Spoon, a Knife, and a Saltcellar
Printed page with designs for silverware, presenting two half-plates or trays, a spoon, a knife, and a salt- and peppercellar. The first plate or tray is decorated with palmettes and intersecting C-curves; the second with scrolling leaves, both with borders composed by several layers of strips, including one made up of twirled silver, and a strip of silver spheres. The handle of the spoon contains frames that form C-curves, and is decorated with an interlacing motif on the bottom, and flanked by a small palmette. The handle of the knife also contains interlacing motifs, as well as stylized leaves, and two strips of small spheres that decorate the upper part of the handle, closer to the blade. The salt- and pepper-cellar is made up of a base with a small column standing on it, from which emerge several interlacing branches with stylized leaves, forming bases to the sides upon which are placed the two semi-circular cups where the salt and pepper would be served. The sides of the base are decorated by two bird-like fantastic creatures, and the upper part of the column is flanked by a curved frame to hold the cups.
