A woman wearing a cloak and veil holds a ewer and looks back over her shoulder at a burning incense brazier, with a column behind at left. Humphrey who is best known as a print publisher, here demonstrates his skills as a mezzotint engraver, something for which he was awarded premiums by the Society of Arts in 1765 and 1766.
