Two in Time
Artists have turned to the postcard as a means of artistic expression since at least the 1960s, and Michael Langenstein is one of the leading practitioners of postcard art in the United States. He is best known for his satirical works centered on geographic icons such as the pyramids of Cairo and the Twin Towers in New York City. His depictions of the latter have taken on new meaning since the Towers were a target of the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, and have since become symbols of the world-altering events of that day.
