Coat of Arms of the Giustiniani Family
Large thesis print with the coat of arms of the Giustiniani family, most likely made for Giuseppe (died 1600) or Vincenzo Giustiniani (1564-1637). This print was catalogued by Bartsch as the "Arms of a Prelate", based on the impression in Vienna which does not contain a specific crest. Te Met's impression shows several significant changes to the plate. In addition to the addition of the Giustiniani symbols, various inscriptions have been erased and a round compartment with the inscription "NUNTIA ET OMEN" at bottom has been removed as well.
