Engraving, part of 'Omnium pene Europae, Asiae, Aphricae atque Americae Gentium Habitus' (Costumes of the various nations of Europe, Asia, Africa and America), a series of prints representing figures from various parts of the world, engraved by Abraham de Bruyn and published by Joos de Bosscher in 1580.

This engraving represents the costumes of 10 women, represented in two horizontal rows, each labelled with an inscription under the illustration. On the first row, an Austrian noblewoman wears a long gown with stripes of lozenges and a short, fur-lined cape; the adolescent daughter of a merchant from Palatinatu wears a long dress with long sleeves puffed at the shoulders, with stripes, a ruff, and a headdress with feathers. In the center, a noblewoman from Meissen wears a long gown with ruff and a short cape with fur lining, both brocaded with stripes with scrolling motifs, followed by a young noblewoman from Meissen, wearing a long dress with short puff sleeves with stripes over long tight sleeves, with a dark stripe and three brocaded stripes with floral patterns on the skirt, a large headdress with feathers, and a short, sleeveless jacket with fur lining. Finally, a plebeian woman from Meissen wears a long gown with short puff sleeves over long, tight sleeves, both trimmed with ruffles, and a ruff collar, holding her accessories in her hands.

On the second row, a aoblewoman from Meissen wears a mourning gown made up of a long cape and a headscarf that covers the entire head, except for one eye; a plebeian woman from Leipzig wears a long cape with a pattern of lozenges on the border, a tight hat without brim, and short ruff. In the center, a young bride from Leipzig wears a long gown with stripes and short puff sleeves with stripes over long sleeves with brocaded cuffs, a double-strand necklace under her ruff, a jeweled headdress, jeweled belt and brooches. To her right is a woman from Suevi, wearing a long dress with stripes on the bottom, an apron in the front of the skirt, long, puff sleeves, and fur collar, with her hair tied in a scarf. Finally, a plebeian woman from Augsburg wears a long dress with ruff and long sleeves, puffed at the shoulders, a fur hat, and holding her accessories in her hands.
