Engraving, part of 'Omnium pene Europae, Asiae, Aphricae atque Americae Gentium Habitus' (Costumes of the various nations of Europe, Asia, Africa and America), a series of prints representing figures from various parts of the world, engraved by Abraham de Bruyn and published by Joos de Bosscher in 1580.

This engraving represents a peasant man of Piedmont, a peasant woman of Piedmont, a peasant woman of Bressana, and a peasant man of Campania. On the left, the peasant from Piedmont wears a sort of jacket with short puff sleeves over long sleeves over simple padded hose, and boots. He wears a hat made with raw fabric, and carries a pouch hanging from his belt. Next to him, the peasant woman of Piedmont wears a dress with lace-up bodice over a shirt, and a skirt with apron and train. Her hat has a wide brim and tiered crown.

On the center-right, the peasant woman from Bressana wears a mid-calf dress with lace-up bodice over a long-sleeved chemise, a waistband with a pattern of lozenges and an apron hanging at the front of her shirt. Her hat has wide band and broad brim. She carries a basket with vegetables on her left arm.

On the right, the peasant from Campania wears a long-sleeved jacket with boots, and a short-brimmed hat with braided band and rounded crown. He carries a pole on his right shoulder, from which hangs a duck (?), and a sort of tray on the left hand with flat pies.
