In a rural scene possibly set in England, a family leaves their thatched roof cottage to attend church, the latter's steeple seen in the left distance at left. A young man and woman escort an old lady down the front steps towards a chair that a boy places to help her onto a waiting horse. The horse stands outside a thatched-roof shed and is fed an apple by a young girl while, at right, another little girl helps her brother put on his boots.
