Not on view

This print is bound in Volume I of Oeuvres. Jombert published his collection of Le Pautre in 1751. Volume I contains "desseins... pour la décoration des maisons, etouches, edifices;." This print is part of a series of six plates depicting bedrooms in the Roman style. However, it is often placed in another suite, as is the case in this binding, in which it is associated with the series, Alcôves à l'italienne. This placement is attributed to the fact that all other prints in the series, Alcôves à la romaine, depict subjects from Antiquity.
